Pendidikan Lingkungan bagi Siswa Sekolah Dasar

Krisis lingkungan global (perubahan iklim, degradasi ekosistem, dan penurunan keanekaragaman hayati) menuntut penguatan pendidikan lingkungan sejak usia dini. Namun, pembelajaran lingkungan di sekolah dasar masih kerap bersifat teoritis dan minim pengalaman langsung, termasuk di SD Negeri 150 Pekanbaru yang memiliki keterbatasan akses fasilitas “laboratorium alam”. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan literasi dan kepedulian lingkungan siswa melalui pembelajaran luar ruang di Arboretum Universitas Lancang Kuning. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan kombinasi experiential learning, edutainment, dan pembelajaran partisipatif kontekstual melalui penyuluhan, pengenalan langsung flora fauna, diskusi, serta praktik sederhana konservasi. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan desain pre test dan post test menggunakan kuesioner 18 butir, dilengkapi observasi selama kegiatan, serta uji t berpasangan untuk menilai peningkatan pemahaman. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan peserta dengan rerata kenaikan 19,26% setelah kegiatan. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa pembelajaran lingkungan berbasis pengalaman di arboretum efektif memperkuat pemahaman siswa tentang konsep konservasi dan mendorong keterampilan awal konservasi yang dapat ditindaklanjuti melalui kolaborasi sekolah dengan universitas secara berkelanjutan.
