Mengembangkan Kepercayaan Diri dan Literasi Bahasa Inggris melalui Program “Sing a Song” sebagai Model Pembelajaran Performatif di SMPN 4 Kuningan

Artikel ini menganalisis implementasi program “Sing a Song” sebagai model pembelajaran performatif untuk mengatasi hambatan emosional dalam penguasaan bahasa Inggris di SMPN 4 Kuningan. Melalui kerangka pengabdian mahasiswa PPG Prajabatan yang mengintegrasikan kegiatan English Club dan Talent Show, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memetakan transformasi kepercayaan diri dan peningkatan literasi kosakata siswa dalam ekosistem belajar yang inklusif. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi visual. Berdasarkan hasil observasi dan wawancara, program menunjukkan dampak positif berupa penurunan hambatan emosional (affective filter) secara signifikan, pengurangan kecemasan berbahasa asing (perasaan tegang saat berbicara), serta fasilitasi perolehan kosakata kontekstual yang lebih bermakna. Selain itu, program ini berhasil menggeser iklim kelas dari pasif menjadi kolaboratif. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pedagogi performatif merupakan pendekatan sosial-pendidikan yang efektif untuk membangun keyakinan akan kemampuan diri (efikasi diri) dan identitas belajar yang positif bagi peserta didik di jenjang menengah pertama.
