Aplikasi Mineral Block dan Leguminosa dalam Praktik Budidaya Kambing pada Kelompok Tani Margo Makmur, Desa Kalitengah, Pagungrejo, Kabuapten Blitar

Kelompok Tani Margo Makmur di Desa Kalitengah, Blitar bergerak di bidang pertanian, perkebunan, dan peternakan kambing serta sapi pedaging. Desa di dataran tinggi kapur selatan yang memiliki kondisi kering dan panas ini mengalami kendala serius ketersediaan pakan hijauan, terutama musim kemarau. Pakan dominan berupa limbah pertanian (jerami jagung, kedelai), perkebunan (pucuk tebu), dan leguminosa pohon (lamtoro, mahoni, akasia). Dampaknya produksi ternak rendah dengan BCS 2-3 dan tingginya kasus hipokalsemia serta hipomagnesia penyebab ternak ambruk pasca melahirkan. Kegiatan pengabdian bertujuan memberi solusi melalui tiga tahap: (1) survei identifikasi masalah, (2) penyuluhan dan pelatihan pembuatan mineral block serta budidaya leguminosa tahan kering (lamtoro taramba dan kaliandra merah), (3) monitoring evaluasi 3 bulan dengan kuesioner. Hasilnya, pelatihan meningkatkan pengetahuan peternak tentang manajemen pakan dan reproduksi. Mineral block berbahan DCP, garam, mineral, vitamin memiliki palatabilitas bai. Penyemaian leguminosa berhasil dengan media tanah humus, pupuk kandang, dan arang sekam. Kegiatan ini diharapkan menjadi solusi berkelanjutan melalui kombinasi suplementasi mineral dan budidaya pakan unggul di daerah kering.
