Penyuluhan Inovasi Minyak Goreng Bekas untuk Lilin Aromaterapi bagi Ibu PKK Desa Karangkumpul, Banyumeneng, Demak

Minyak goreng bekas merupakan limbah rumah tangga yang sering kali kurang mendapat perhatian, padahal pembuangannya secara asal-asalan dapat menimbulkan pencemaran lingkungan, sedangkan penggunaan secara berulang berpotensi menimbulkan dampak negatif untuk kesehatan. Di Desa Karangkumpul, Banyumeneng, minyak goreng bekas pada umumnya dibuang tanpa pengolahan sehingga berpotensi menjadi sumber pencemaran. Kondisi tersebut mendorong perlunya upaya kreatif dan inovatif untuk mengolah minyak goreng bekas menjadi produk yang bernilai guna dan bernilai ekonomi meningkat. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini melibatkan ibu-ibu PKK Desa Karangkumpul dengan tujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan serta keterampilan dalam memanfaatkan minyak goreng bekas menjadi lilin aromaterapi. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi penyuluhan mengenai dampak penggunaan minyak goreng bekas terhadap kesehatan dan lingkungan, dilanjutkan dengan praktik pembuatan lilin aromaterapi menggunakan minyak goreng yang telah dimurnikan dengan penyaringan menggunakan arang. Minyak hasil penyaringan kemudian dicampurkan dengan lilin sawit, bahan pemutih, dan minyak esensial untuk menghasilkan produk lilin aromaterapi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan respons yang sangat positif dari peserta. Sebanyak 25 anggota PKK mengikuti kegiatan dengan antusias dan berpartisipasi aktif pada seluruh rangkaian penyuluhan maupun praktik pembuatan lilin aromaterapi.
